Interview: PmBata

From a young age, Los Angeles-based Parker Bata found his passion Encouraged by friends and family, the TikTok sensation and hip hop star on the rise, grew up chasing this passion. The now 21-year-old has since adopted the name PmBata and signed with 300 Entertainment to pursue this dream professionally.

Influenced by the likes of Logic, Chance the Rapper, and Mac Miller, the artist thrives on his catchy remixes and unique style. His most recent original works “2little 2late” and “huh!” have taken over the TikTok community, garnering thousands of new streams and fans. 

A blend between hiphop and pop with jazz influences, PmBata began both piano and trumpet at a young age. Throughout his adolescence the interest in the music scene only grew with him. After finding traction on TikTok, success on YouTube, and acquiring ride or die fans across the world, the artist shares that, “They’re so cool. They like me for Parker, not just PmBata. Having people get excited when I drop music or watching my social media or making fan pages, it’s so awesome that they care. It’s so cool and inspiring.

It was actually my first professional session ever,” the artist shares on the making of hit single “2little 2late,” “it was a process but it was mostly produced that day.” New to the professional music scene, the artist had gone to LA on a business trip and experienced his first professional session. Although straightforward this time, PmBata shares that each session is totally different in terms of the creative process.
