Single Review: Ghost by RobinAugust

Review by Isabelle Turner

Nashville-based RobinAugust is unapologetically authentic. Regarding her music as her own personal diary, her latest single “Ghost” is an angsty and unforgettable entry.

RobinAugust made waves in the music industry for her debut single, “Monster” in 2018. Since her first, she has since released five more emotionally diverse tracks. Ranging from pure anger to sentimental, RobinAugust can really do it all.

“Ghost” is a combination of elements that shouldn’t work together, but somehow do, emphasizing RobinAugust’s talent. While the song starts slow, it builds to a heavy metal sound. The song even has a saxophone solo in the bridge that fits perfectly. The song mimics the story of the tumultuous relationship, especially in the aftermath of it. The production is polished, enhancing the intense instrumentals of the song. The lyrics are passionate, raw, and powerful, separating RobinAugust in a sea of many.

“Ghost” is the perfect angsty anthem that shows RobinAugust and her innate ability to continue evolving. The singer’s debut album Avocado Head is coming soon and we can’t wait to see what she does next.

If you haven’t already checked out “Ghost”, be sure to stream it on Spotify and Apple Music and follow RobinAugust for more information on her upcoming music.
