Review: Hotel Rooms by The Astronomers

Wisconsin duo comprised of Fond du Lac natives Michael Stensland and Ben Baker dove headfirst into season three of their discography this week with another smashing success of a single.

Challenging traditional alt-pop melodies, each verse brings new waves of unconventional and unique elements that are rarely well executed in the music industry but are the heart and soul of the band’s style. “Hotel Rooms,” a track that was originally never supposed to be released, is the first single off of the duo’s upcoming era.

Characterized by vibrant hues and unmatched energy, The Astronomers continue to outdo themselves with each new release. Serving as an immediate fan favorite, the group has been teasing the track for ages; if you’ve been lucky enough to witness the band in person, you likely heard it performed live.

Following the success of November single “Bad Type,” “Hotel Rooms” has been quickly climbing the charts and taking Midwest radio by storm.

To add to the excitement, the band surprisingly dropped a music video in addition to the already highly anticipated track. Featuring a montage of vintage-styled videos alongside POV clips of the band, the video encapsulates the raw energy, passion, and dedication put into the track.
