Can you introduce yourself?

Charlie Diamond here. I was born on a mountain and spent a lot of time out in the woods on old Native American trails. Started playing guitar when I got into punk rock. After traveling the United States for a while on my motorcycle I fell in love with folk music and have been playing it for the last 2 years. Writing songs and playing shows!

Colorful traveling soul



What were the first and last parts of "New York's Been Good To Me" to be written?

I sat down and recorded the song in one take. What you hear is what you get just as it was coming to my mind I sang it. So, it was essentially written inthe roder it is sung. 



What’s your favorite lyric or production element of "New York's Been Good To Me"?

My favorite line is "The leopard print people and mascara eyes, artists painting and the poets die"



Did you learn anything new about yourself while creating this song?

No

Is there a certain place that you feel the most creative in?

Midnight to 2am when the stars are out

The end of January I'll be back in Brooklyn to record live one take vinyl records. Every take different. No one song recorded the same.
