Interview: Between Friends
Tongue Tied contributor Ambika Verma had a quick chat with Savannah and Brandon of Between Friends after their set at Governors Ball Music Festival - here’s what they had to say:
How do you feel?
“Amazing. This has been a lot more than what we expected. We have never played New York as Between Friends, as we started Between Friends before the pandemic, but walking out and seeing the crowd was incredible.” - Brandon
“Yeah, amazing. Right before we went on stage, we weren’t sure if anyone would come since it was so early, but we were so happy.” - Savannah
What does Gov Ball represent to you?
“Gov Ball is huge. We love festivals and the lineup is so good.” - Savannah
“It’s the dream, being surrounded by a bunch of amazing artists.” - Brandon
Describe your band in three words.
“Quirky, colorful, playful.”
What are your goals/dreams/wishes, etc for the rest of 2022?
“We just put out our Cutie EP yesterday and today, we’re celebrating with the festival. We plan on putting out a bunch of music this year. Our goal is to play with as many people as possible, make as many friends, and create as much as we can.”
